Born from a Lebanese family and raised in Egypt where I completed my french
schooling and then pursued my chemistry studies in London UK. I am currently
working as a banker in Montreal Canada. My love for chemistry and perfumes
triggered my senses to a world of colorful images and pushed me to give life to
these reflections straight into my paintings. For me, an art piece is like a
perfume. It is a mix of chemicals to get an artistic vision. After 5 years
experience in the perfumery industry in Egypt, the influence of the English city
projected images and urged me to mix other chemicals, something new, and
therefore blending colors. I studied drawing for three years and a half and
learned the techniques I ought to know. With a background of a chemist, I
discovered my painting talent at a mature age and began at 26. I call myself an
abstract painter. "It is very easy to paint a piece of art out of the images you see,
but an abstract art is not a simple reproduction of what you see. It is more of a
reflection of your inner self in the outcome, you can see it through many
different angles, so many movements in the picture". I have no explanation of
why did I start painting on such a mature age, but for me it was an urge, an
image I have to bring to life. I started with water colors and definitely wanted to
revolutionize the material I was using. In the past, I was just projecting colors,
and now I want to reflect my feelings which I need to express with colours.
Although I have been everywhere and was inspired by so many cultures due to
my constant relocation, I still aspire to discover the beautiful culture of China
and Japan. Enjoy everyday the beauty of COLORS.
